Whatever modes of transport we will have in the future, there will always be an element of excitement to be had, seeing the fast and the furious compete.

So these first sketches imagine how the race and race inspired vehicle could take form. Maglev F1 anybody?

In 1985, the ‘orange’ concept proposed the use of hub motors, to give a new freedom to the design of a sports/race car, which could allow some highly original shapes to evolve.

Then the ‘cross over’ between motorcycle and car, could herald the return of the enjoyment and thrill of driving, by using light weight, rather than excessive power. The concepts shown could be cheap to produce, and allow personal transport to take on a fresh new appeal.
